Barbus tetrazona rouge (Red Sumatra)

Barbus tetrazona rouge (Red Sumatra)

Description

Sumatra's bearded man is a very active fish. A planted aquarium which leaves them large free spaces is necessary because the bearded samatra spend a good part of their time chasing: the plants and hiding places will also serve as a refuge. It is a gregarious fish: a group of 6 large minimum individuals is necessary (below, the aggressions would systematically focus on one or two individuals, who would be in sad state). The inter-species cohabitation must be well thought out: the bearded man of Sumatra will take care of percentively percent of all slower fish than him (most in fact) or provided beautiful and long fins (Guppy, Betta, Colysa ...). We therefore avoid this type of association (the victims end up having shreds and quickly develops diseases due to stress). Other bearded ones, however, should do the trick. Still, if you are looking for a little softer bearded, the choice is not lacking: see at the bottom of the page. - See More AT: http://www.aquariophilie-pratique.net/Fichespoissons_puntiustetrazona.htm#sthash.opg3nbsh.dpuf

Easy to make. Provide a second aquarium with very discreet filtration/ventilation. The water will be about 26 ° C and slightly acidic. Choose a very lively male and a rounded female and wait 2 days. The eggs adhere to any surface: after fertilization, we will remove the parents so that they do not devour them. The eggs put one to two days maximum to hatch. Start feeding after 4 days when the fry exhausted the reserves of the egg and they are in free swimming: infuses, rotifers, nauplies. Change part of the water regularly to avoid water pollution. - See More AT: http://www.aquariophilie-pratique.net/Fichespoissons_puntiustetrazona.htm#sthash.opg3nbsh.dpuf
