Description
The Barilius Christyi fish is a freshwater fish belonging to the Cyprinids family. It measures about 10 centimeters in length and has a cylindrical and elongated body. Its color is gray-green on the back and white on the belly, with black spots on the sides. It has a dorsal fin and a caudal bifide fin.
The Barilius Christyi fish lives mainly in rivers and mountain streams of the Himalayas, in particular in the cold and clear waters of the region of India, Nepal and Bhutan. It feeds mainly on plankton, small insects and insect larvae, which it captures by filtering water through its gills.
