This fish is native to the stagnant and shallow waters of Asia, in particular the humid and marshy regions of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.

Betta Albimarginata is a lonely and territorial fish that tends to be aggressive towards other fish in its species. It is generally smaller than other species of Betta, measuring approximately 4 to 5 centimeters in length. Her dress is mainly gray with irregular black spots on the body and fins.
