Description
Characidium brevirostre is a freshwater fish that belongs to the Crenuchidae family. He is from the rivers and streams in South America, mainly in the region of the Amazon and the Orrenoque basins. This fish has an elongated and side -compressed body, with a high and well developed dorsal fin. Its color varies from gray to dark brown, with black vertical stripes that cover the whole body.
