Chrysiptera parasema (Blue lady with yellow tail)

Chrysiptera parasema (Blue lady with yellow tail)

Description

Very aggressive fish, to be introduced only last into the aquarium. In addition, you have to create a group of at least 5 individuals to feel good.

The Chrysiptera Parasema fish is a fish from the pomacterrida family, commonly known as the silver face-to-face fish. It is characterized by its silver gray coloring on top and white below, with lively orange marks on the fins and along the side line. The silver-faced clownfish is about 10 cm long and native to the warm and shallow waters of the South Pacific Islands, notably the Solomon, Tuamotu islands and Fiji Islands.

Silver face clown fish is a gregarious fish and likes to live in a group of several individuals in coral reefs. It is omnivorous and feeds mainly on small invertebrates, plankton and zooxanthelles, symbiotic microorganisms that live in coral tissues.

Silver face clown fish is a very popular aquarophilia fish thanks to its bright color and gregarious behavior. It is also known for its capacity to mate with other species of clowned fish and to form mixed couples, which makes it particularly interesting for aquariophiles wishing to create communities of clownfish in their aquarium.

Due to its popularity in aquarophilia, the silver-faced clownfish is widely collected in nature and its conservation status is considered to be "worrying" by the International Union for Nature Conservation (IUCN). However, efforts are underway to manage the collection of this species in the wild and avoid overfishing.
