Description

Lying species, relatively high back fusiform. Like all species of his genus, his mouth is equipped with two pairs of barbels. On a light beige background it has many small brown points on the sides. A large black band surrounds the Caudal peduncle, but also partially the adipose fin. All fins are transparent, except the caudal fin which is finely speckled.

Corydoras Guapore is a freshwater fish from South America. It is a fish of small to medium size, generally measuring between 3 and 5 centimeters in length. It has an elongated and lateral compressed body, which allows it to easily sneak into narrow and hidden places. His skin is covered with scales, and he has two pairs of chest fins which allow him to move with agility in water.

Corydoras Guapore is generally of silver gray or dark brown, with black or brown marks on the body. His head is largely rounded and he has two large pairs of barbillons around the mouth, which serve him to look for food in the substrate. Corydoras Guapore is a gregarious fish, that is to say that it tends to live in a group with other individuals of its species.

It needs a well -filtered and well -ventilated aquarium, with a sand or gravel substrate and a good amount of living plants to offer shelters and rest areas. It is important to maintain clean and well oxygenated water, by making regular water changes. Corydoras Guapore is a peaceful and harmless fish, which can cohabit without problem with other freshwater fish of similar size.
