It does not have pectoral fins unlike the eels. It is sold under the name of a freshwater molarne but is in fact a wall of sea water that has migrated in the rivers of rivers. It is therefore a wall of brackish water (density recommended between 1.005 and 1.010). The skin has no scales and light gray color see yellow, dotted with yellow spots. The head and the machine are along, the nostrils very apparent. It has the distinction of not having gown and gills like most other fish. Cavernicole fish, she likes to stay in a hole and let her head exceed. Little aggressive, she behaves very well with fish exceeding the size of her mouth ... She eats small living fish or small crustaceans (young crab, shrimp ...) but may be used to feeding on death (recommended To avoid depopulation of the bac ...) she knows how to be very emotional and can come and seek caresses when she got used to man. Likewise it is possible to nourish it by hand, if it does not manifest any aggressiveness. Please note: some are much more characteristic and it is necessary to take precautions. It happens, if the bac is not provided with hiding places to its taste, which it decides to leave the bac. Suddenly, all potential outings are to be condemned.

The Echidna rhodochilus fish is a freshwater fish that belongs to the cyprinid family. He is also known as a flashy fish or spine fish, due to the presence of small thorns on his head and along his flanks.

The body of this fish is compressed laterally, which gives it a form of lettuce sheet. Its size can reach approximately 12 centimeters in length, although most individuals measure approximately 8 centimeters. Its color varies from dark gray to brown, with black vertical stripes along its body.

The Echidna Rhodochilus fish is from the rivers and the lakes of Southeast Asia, notably of Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra. It prefers calm and shallow waters, often bordered by vegetation.

This fish is mainly an invertebrate eater, such as insects and crustaceans. It also feeds on small fish and vegetation. Due to its small size, it is often threatened by larger predators, such as catfish and birds.

The Echidna rhodochilus fish is generally lonely, although it can regroup with other individuals of the same species to feed or reproduce. The breeding period takes place in spring and summer, when males build nests in frog nests where they fertilize the eggs laid by females. The eggs hatch about a week later, giving birth to young fish that develop quickly.

Due to its small size and beauty, Echidna rhodochilus fish is often a popular choice for domestic aquariums. It is generally easy to raise in captivity, although owners must ensure that it provides an adequate environment and appropriate food.
