Description

Elachocharax Georgiae fish is a freshwater fish from the Amazon region in South America. It measures about 6 centimeters in length and has a gray-brown body with dark strips and irregular white spots.

The Elachocharax Georgiae fish is a background fish which is generally found in the shallow and muddy waters of rivers and streams of the tropical forest. It is very agile and can quickly move into shallow waters using its pectoral and caudal fins to propel yourself.

The Elachocharax Georgiae fish is omnivorous and feeds mainly on insects, small crustaceans and plants. It can also be opportunistic and feed on greater prey when they are available.

The Elachocharax Georgiae fish is generally lonely and moves alone in shallow waters in search of food. However, it can also regroup in small benches when there is an abundance of food around.

Due to its habitat in the shallow waters of the tropical forest, the Elachocharax Georgiae fish is often threatened by pollution, the destruction of its habitat and the overexploitation by local fishermen. However, it is considered a relatively common species in its natural habitat and is not currently considered threatened with extinction.
