Description

Gasteropelecus sternicla is a fish from the Gastteropelecidae family, which only includes this species. It is also known as freshwater fish-tone or silver back fish. It is a small fish, measuring on average between 7 and 10 cm in length, although some specimens can reach up to 15 cm. Gastteropelecus sternicla is native to Central America and South America, where it lives in the calm waters of rivers and lakes.
