Gobio Albipinnatus is a fish from the Cyprinidae family, originally from the east Soft Waters. It is a small fish, measuring about 5 to 6 centimeters in length. It has an elongated and side -compressed body, with a wide head and a protractile mouth with small sharp teeth. Her dress is generally gray or brown, with lighter longitudinal stripes on the side.
Gobio albipinnatus lives in benches in shallow waters, such as streams, lakes and marshes. It feeds mainly on small insects, molluscs and algae. In winter, it migrates towards deeper waters to escape the low temperatures.
Gobio albipinnatus is an oviparous fish, that is to say that it lays eggs. The female can lay up to 200 eggs at a time, which it deposits on pebbles or submerged plants. The eggs hatch about a week later, and the fry are independent from birth.
Gobio albipinnatus is a common and little demanding fish in terms of habitat, making it a popular species in freshwater aquariums. However, it is sensitive to certain parameters of water, such as temperature and level of nitrates, and must be maintained in adequate conditions to ensure its well-being.
