Description

The ISCHRINA WERNERI is a fish from the family of the Melanotaeniidae, from New Guinea. It is a small fish, generally measuring less than 3 cm in length, with a slim and elongated body. Its color varies from blue to purple, with orange and yellow strips along each side. The female is generally larger and darker than the male.

The Iatherina Werneri is mainly a freshwater fish, although it can also live in slightly healthy waters. He prefers calm and shallow aquatic environments, such as marshes and ponds, where he mainly feeds on small insects and plankton.

The Iatherina Werneri is a gregarious fish, that is to say it lives in a group with other individuals of its species. Reproduction
