Dimorphism

We can recognize the male of the female in such a way: the male will have at the end of his fin below a more distinct black line than that of the female which will be lighter in her.

Reproduction

Easy, without formation of a family unit. The male reproduces indifferent with all the females present in the bin. The laying phase is typical of cichlids with a "T" position of the two partners. The eggs are taken in the mouth by the female then it approaches the anal fin of the male who then takes advantage of it to fertilize them by suction. About twenty days after laying, the female releases her juveniles, immediately able to manage on their own. The little ones already have the yellow color of their parents.
