Description

Mbuna of medium size, the melanic pattern is made of vertical bars which are mainly formed in the anterior and upper regions of the body. This species has a coloring which varies depending on the origin. The males show a variable dorsal fin from yellow to orange. The body shade is light blue with dark vertical bars. The throat and chest regions are yellowing.

Dimorphism
