Nanochromis Nudiceps (Nudiceps nanochromis)
Description
Nanochromis Nudiceps is a fish from alive waters on the African continent. It is a small fish, generally measuring between 5 and 7 centimeters in length. He has a thin and side -compressed body, with a sharp head and a protractile mouth, which allows him to easily capture his prey.
Nudiceps nanochromis is generally gray or brown in color, with darker spots on the body. The dorsal fin is generally darker than the rest of the body, which gives it a more distinctive appearance.
Nanochromis nudiceps is a fundamentally peaceful fish, which is well understood with most other fish species. However, it can be territorial towards other fish of the same species, in particular when it comes to choosing a reproductive partner.
Nanochromis nudiceps is an oviparous fish, that is to say that it lays eggs rather than giving birth to fry. The female generally lays her eggs on a flat surface, like a sheet or a rock, and the male takes care of fertilizing them. Once the eggs are hatched, fry are generally autonomous and can feed alone.
Nudiceps nanochromis mainly feeds on small insects and crustaceans. In a natural environment, it can capture these prey by swimming near the surface of the water or by searching in the sediments of the bottom of the water. In an aquarium, it can be nourished with pellets or frozen fish for fish.
