The caudal continues at its ends in the shape of a lyre.

The Odonus Niger fish, commonly known as "two -color bar" or "Doryphore" in French, is a sea fish from the Lutjanidae family. It is from tropical and subtropical waters of the Indian and peaceful oceans, and it is mainly found in coral reefs.

Odonus Niger fish is characterized by its two -color coloring, hence its name "two -color bar". It has a back and an upper part of the dark gray head, which degrades into a pearly white on its lower part and its fins. This coloring is more pronounced in males than in females, and can vary slightly depending on the environment in which the fish lives.

The eyes of the Odonus Niger fish are large and salient, which gives it a good vision in shallow water.

Odonus Niger fish is an active and opportunistic predator that feeds mainly on smaller fish, shrimp and crabs. He tends to hunt in groups, hiding in rocks and corals to surprise his prey. Odonus Niger fish is also known to be a very good swimmer, capable of moving quickly to capture his prey.

Odonus Niger fish is a common fish in coral reefs, where it can be observed hunting or resting.
