Description

The Tetraodon Fluviatilis is a fish from alternative waters of East Asia. It is a small fish, generally about 5 cm in length, although some individuals can reach up to 8 cm. It is often recognizable by its oval shape and its brilliant metallic green color, although certain varieties can be blue, red or yellow.

The Tetraodon Fluviatilis is a voracious and opportunistic fish, which feeds mainly on small crustaceans, insects and worms. He is able to swell like a ball to protect himself from predators, which earned him the nickname "globed fish". This ability is due to its ability to absorb large amounts of air in its stomach, which allows it to become larger and more difficult to eat.

The Tetraodon Fluviatilis is a social and gregarious fish, which likes to live in groups. These groups can include up to several hundred individuals, who often come together around food sources or in caves and crevices to protect themselves from predators. Male pisses-globes are generally more aggressive than females, and they often fight for the territory and access to females during the breeding period.

The tetraodon fluviatilis is an easy -to -raise fish, and it is often maintained in aquariums as a pet. It is also used in scientific research, due to its ability to swell and its easily accessible genome.
