Dimichromis compressice is a fish from the cichlids family, originally from the fresh waters of Lake Malawi in East Africa. It is a medium -sized fish, generally measuring between 10 and 12 centimeters in length, although some specimens can reach up to 15 centimeters. The Dimichromis Compresse is known for its beautiful bright orange color with black spots on the body and head, as well as for its caudal finish in the shape of a veil.

Dimichromis compressice is a gregarious fish, which means that it likes to live in a group with other fish from its species. In captivity, it is recommended to maintain a group of several individuals in a well planted aquarium, with rocks and pebbles to provide hiding places and gray areas. Dimichromis compressice is a relatively peaceful fish, but like many cichlids, it can be territorial and can be aggressive towards other fish if it feels threatened.

In terms of diet, the Dimichromis Compresieces is an omnivore that feeds on small crustaceans, insects and plants in its natural habitat. In captivity, it can be nourished with commercial foods for tropical fish, as well as living or frozen foods such as artemias and vase worms.
