Description
The fasciolatus epiplatys fish is a freshwater fish belonging to the family of Nothobranchiidae. It measures about 3 cm long and has an elongated and side -compressed body. Its color varies according to sex: males generally have a dark brown dress with bright orange spots on the sides and the caudal fin, while the females are dull and grayish with smaller and less visible spots. Fasciolanus Epiplatys fish lives mainly in streams and small tropical forest rivers in West Africa, where it feeds on small insects and crustaceans.
It is considered an adaptable fish and can rise in an aquarium of fresh water provided that the environment is well maintained. To raise it in good conditions, it is important to maintain the aquarium at a temperature between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius and regularly change the water. Epiplatys fasciolatus fish is also known to be an excellent swimmer and can be observed swimming in the different layers of water in the aquarium.
