Description
The Navarchaus themselves, also known as a black nose fish, is a fish from the coral reefs of the hot seas. It has a distinct appearance with an elongated and slender body, a large head and a prominent muzzle. Its color varies from brown to dark gray with irregular brown spots all over the body. The pectoral fins are long and fine, while the pelvic fins are shorter and wider. Black nose-nose fish also has two long back fins, one with thorns and the other with soft rays.
Black nose-nose fish is mainly a predator of small fish, but it can also feed on molluscs and other invertebrates. The eggs hatch about a week later and the fry are protected by males for about a month before leaving the nest.
Black nose-nose fish is generally considered a common species in coral reefs of hot seas, but it can be threatened by the overexploitation and destruction of coral reefs.
