Description

He is sometimes bellicose to his fellows. You have to put very solid plants and roots. They do not fear rapid currents.

You need a large aquarium, clear water, a floor composed of gravel, roots, plastic plants. Only Java's fern is spared. He even eats the fruits and dead leaves. It can be nourished with flocons, plants, large flakes, fountain watercress, Mouron and lettuce.

The Affinis Leporinus is a freshwater fish commonly known as the lap fish because of its head and mouth in the shape of a rabbit. It is a medium -sized fish, generally reaching between 10 and 15 centimeters in length, although some specimens can reach up to 20 centimeters. The Affinis Leporinus is native to the fresh waters of South America, where it lives mainly in rivers and lakes.

Affini Leporinus has a fairly distinctive appearance, with a laterally elongated body, covered with smooth scales. The basic color of the fish is gray-green with black transverse scratches on the body, but it can vary depending on the environment in which it lives. The head of the Affinis Leporinus is wide and flattened, with prominent eyes and a rabbit -shaped mouth which allows it to grate the algae and the surrounding plants to feed.

Leporinus Affinis is a gregarious fish, which means that it tends to live in groups. These groups can be quite large, with several dozen or even several hundred fish. Leporinus Affinis is a very active fish and constantly moves in water by swimming thanks to its pectoral and caudal fins.

Leporinus Affinis is an omnivorous fish that feeds on various foods, such as algae, plants, insects and small fish. In captivity, it can be nourished with commercial food for aquarium fish, but it is also important to offer it live and quality food to maintain good health.

Leporinus Affinis is a fairly easy fish to raise in aquarium, provided you provide an adequate environment and maintain a good level of water quality. He needs an aquarium of at least 30 gallons with good filtration and adequate lighting to promote the growth of algae and plants. Leporinus Affinis is also known to be an excellent aquarium cleaner, because it groans the algae and organic waste which is deposited on the surfaces of the aquarium.
