The Leporinus Steyermarki fish is a freshwater fish that belongs to the Anostomidae family. It is mainly found in rivers and lakes in South America, especially in Venezuela and Colombia. It is recognizable by its elongated and slender body, as well as its gray-green color with dark transverse strips on the top of its body.

It can also feed on smaller fish that it grabs with its sharp teeth. It is generally lonely, although it can sometimes be seen in small groups in shallow waters.

Leporinus Steyermarki is considered a popular ornamental fish because of its beautiful color and relatively small size. It is also appreciated for its ability to adapt to many different living conditions, making it a popular choice for domestic aquariums. However, as it can be aggressive towards other smaller fish, it is important to keep it separated from other species in the aquarium.
