Notopterus AFER fish, also known as African-agle fish, is a freshwater fish from certain parts of West Africa. It is often considered to be an ornamental fish due to its beautiful appearance and its interesting behavior.

African augle fish is a relatively large fish, generally reaching a length of 30 to 40 centimeters. It has an elongated fusiform shape, with a pointed head and a mouth located at the lower end of the body. Its color generally varies from dark gray to silver, with black spots on the body and longitudinal stripes on the back.

African augle fish is a gregarious fish, that is to say it lives in a group with other individuals of its species. He is also an active and lively fish, spending most of his time swimming at the top of the water where he is looking for his food. Its Diet consists mainly of small fish, insects and crustaceans.

African augle fish is a fascinating fish to observe because of its particular behavior. For example, he is used to "jump" out of the water to catch flying insects, a behavior that earned him his name of an-fish. He is also known for his territorial behavior, defending his vital space against other fish.

In general, African anagle fish is a robust and easy-to-maintain fish in aquarium. However, it needs a space large enough to swim and adequate filtration to maintain clean water. It is also important to provide it with a varied diet to maintain your health.
