The Sewellia Lineolata fish, commonly known as "Sewellia", is a little freshwater fish from Asia. It belongs to the Balitoridae family and measures approximately 2.5 cm long. Its shape is elongated and flattened laterally, with a rounded head and round eyes. Its color varies from silver gray to dark brown, with irregular spots and vertical stripes along its body.

Sewellia is mainly a kind of background, which means that it spends most of its time buried in the mud or dead leaves at the bottom of the water. He is also a gregarious fish, which means that he likes to live in a group with other individuals of his species.

Sewellia is a peaceful and calm fish, which is suitable for a community aquarium with other peaceful freshwater fish. It is generally quite easy to raise in captivity, but needs a well -equipped aquarium with a filter to maintain clean and well oxygenated water. Sewellia also need a furniture substrate and a good amount of plants to hide and reproduce.

Due to their small size and peaceful behavior, Sewellia are often considered as ideal aquarium fish for beginners. They are also appreciated for their color and unique aquarium behavior. However, as with all fish, it is important to ensure that the aquarium is well maintained and that fish receive an adequate and varied diet.
