The Telmatherina Ladigesi is a tropical fish native to the fresh waters of the island of Sulawesi, in Indonesia. It is also known as the Ladiges or Pétle Fish of Ladiges.

Telmatherina ladigesi has an elongated body shape and flattened laterally, with a lyre -shaped tail. Its color varies according to age and sex, but it is generally dark gray to black with white and gray spots on the body and tail. Adult males often have bright yellow spots on the head and along the sides.

The Telmatherina Ladigesi is a territorial fish that lives in small groups in the shallow waters of rivers and lakes of its natural habitat. It feeds mainly on small crustaceans and insects which it captures by hunting in aquatic plants.

Telmatherina ladigesi is considered a popular aquarium fish due to its beautiful color and relatively small size. It can reach about 4 centimeters in total length, making it a fish suitable for aquariums from small to medium size.
