Description

Trichopsis Vittatus fish is also known as dwarf butterfly fish or lion's head. It is a freshwater fish from Southeast Asia, in particular rivers and canals of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. Vittatus trichopsis fish is about 5 cm long and has a characteristic appearance with a lion -shaped head and large dorsal and caudal fins.

The body of Trichopsis Vittatus fish is oval and laterally compressed, which allows it to easily slip into narrow spaces and hide in aquatic plants. Its color varies from dark green to dark brown, with black and white vertical stripes along its body. Vittatus trichopsis fish also has a bright yellow strip along its side line, which gives it an even more distinctive appearance.

Trichopsis Vittatus fish is generally peaceful and can be kept in a group in a community aquarium. Vittatus trichopsis fish needs a well planted aquarium with shaded places to hide, as well as a filter to maintain clean and oxygenated water.

Vittatus trichopsis fish is mainly feeding small insects, worms and crustaceans in the wild, but it can also eat food designed for aquarium fish in a captive environment. Trichopsis Vittatus fish can be reproduced in captivity, but this requires very precise reproduction conditions, including a high pH of water and a temperature slightly warmer than water from the main aquarium.

In summary, Vittatus trichopsis fish is a peaceful and attractive freshwater fish that can be maintained in a community aquarium. With its unique appearance and habitat and food needs relatively easy to satisfy, Trichopsis Vittatus fish is a popular choice for aquarium enthusiasts.
