Description

The Alternanthera Sessilis is an aquarium plant commonly known as "sea jewel" due to its bright and smooth dark green leaves. It belongs to the Amaranthaceae family and is from South America. It is a fast -growing herbaceous plant which can reach a height of 20 cm and a width of 10 cm. It has slim and branched stems and diamond -shaped leaves arranged in opposite ways along the rod. The leaves are generally uniform dark green, but may have shades of red and purple on the edges or ends of the stems.
