Cryptocoryne albida

Cryptocoryne albida

Description

A few varieties of sheets in the same plant are available and the colors vary from green to brown-red, occasionally with dark tasks. This plant does not move well and will take a while before acclimating, but once installed and if supplied with adequate lighting and a rich nutrient intake in the substrate, it should push well. Too much light can reduce the size of the leaves.

Cryptocoryne albida is an aquarium plant commonly used in aquarophilia. It belongs to the family of the Araces and is from the tropical regions of Southeast Asia, where it is mainly in the shallow waters of the rivers and the marshes. This plant has heart -shaped leaves which can reach a length of 15 to 20 centimeters and a diameter of 3 to 5 centimeters. The leaves are green and have a smooth texture. The plant also produces white tube -shaped flowers which can be seen on the surface of the water. In general, cryptocoryne albida is an easy -to -maintain aquarium plant, which develops well in a nutritive substrate and in an environment with good lighting. It is often used as a background plant in aquariums to create a depth effect.
