Description

Echinodorus amazonicus is an aquarium plant commonly known as "saber plant" due to its saber leaf shape. It is a robust plant that can reach up to 50 cm high and develop quickly if it is well maintained. It has wide and shiny leaves, dark green in color, and solid stems that can be invasive if they are not cut regularly. Echinodorus amazonicus prefers moderately acidic and nutrient water conditions, with lively but indirect light. It can also be easily reproduced by producing floating seedlings called "saber seedlings". In general, it is an adaptable and easy to cultivate plant, which can add color and texture to an aquarium.
