Description
Large swimming plant. The middle part of petioles is swollen and contains a fibrous, spng and air tissue. Rounded and cordiform limmbe. Suitable for non -covered and well -lit aquariums. Can be cultivated outdoors in a very sunny place, in this case it flowers regularly.
Eichhornia Crassipes, also known as Fleur d'Eau, is a fast -growing aquarium plant which can be easily recognized because of its large heart -shaped leaves. This plant prefers calm water environments and can be maintained on the surface of the water or submerged. It produces bright blue flowers in the shape of a bell which can be seen floating on the surface of the water. Eichhornia Crassipes is native to South America and is considered an invasive species in many regions due to its rapid growth and its ability to eliminate nutrients from aquatic ecosystems. This is why it is important to control its growth when it is cultivated in an aquarium.
