Myriophyllum mattogrossense

Myriophyllum mattogrossense

Description

This species is characterized by its rod and its brownish leaves with rusty red. The leaves are verticed by 5 to 7. The 4-5 cm long limb is made up of 10-12 pairs of filiform segments measuring 0.5-2 cm long. As with all finely cut leafy plants, a deposit of all kinds is to be avoided on the leaves, hence the need to filter the water well. Sufficient brightness, relatively high hardness of water and iron intake, are the conditions necessary for good growth. The growth is rapid and when ultimately the plant swims on the surface of the water, it produces many side filaments.

Myriophyllum Mattogrossense is an aquarium plant from Brazil. It belongs to the Haloragaceae family and is also known as Vallisénerie à leafles de Mille-Pattes. It is a perennial plant with rapid and fine and delicate foliage.

The myriophyllum mattogrossense leaves are thin and elongated, with a shape similar to that of a central and milestones. They are generally dark green with intense blue-green and are arranged in a spiral around the stems of the plant. The plant can reach a height of 30 cm, with an extent of 10 to 15 cm.
