This variety of Vallisneria Americana is characterized by long and narrow leaves that grow in compact tufts from an underground rhizome. The leaves are dark and smooth green, and can reach up to 1.5 meters in length. The Vallisneria Americana Var. Biwaensis flowers in summer, producing white or pink flowers in the shape of a ears that stand above the water.
