The Carolinensis ballists is a sea fish belonging to the Balistidae family. It is also known as giant and giant clownfish fish. This fish is native to the warm waters of the Atlantic, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico.

The Carolinensis ballists has an elongated and rounded shape, with a caudal finish in the shape of a veil. Its skin is covered with smooth and shiny scales, and it can reach a maximum length of 50 centimeters. Its color varies from dark blue to dark green on the top, with white and yellow vertical stripes on the sides. The belly is white and the caudal fin is yellow with black stripes.

The Carolinensis ballists is a lonely and territorial fish. It tends to hide in the caves and crevices of coral reefs or wrecks of ships. The giant clownfish feeds mainly on crabs, molluscs and other crustaceans, which it catches with its pointed and hooked teeth.

Carolinensis ballists is considered a protected fish in certain regions, as it is threatened by commercial fishing and the destruction of its natural habitat.
