Roloffi bearded fish is a medium -sized fish, generally measuring between 10 and 12 centimeters in length. It has a cylindrical body and slightly compressed laterally, with a wide head and a protractile mouth located at the lower end of the body. Roloffi bearded fish is generally silver gray in color, with black spots on the body and fins, and black stripes on the head.

Roloffi bearded fish is a gregarious fish that likes to live in a group in the shallow waters of rivers and streams.
