Description

Trapu body, quite high. Short side line. Brownish pink body color with silver reflections. Triangular black spot on the sides to the posterior part of the body. Outdoor rays of the caudal fin impregnated with red.

Dimorphism

The male is more slender. In the female the anterior edge of the black spot is straight while in the male it is slightly rounded at the bottom and a little stretched forward.

Reproduction

You need a 10 -liter tank with warmer water than usual (28 °). The female puts behind a large sheet and the male begins to turn around her. Then the female brings her eggs out and the male fertilizes them immediately. But as soon as they see the eggs, they eat them.
