Description

Intraspecific relations are bad. These centropyge can be raised with other fish whose dress is clearly different from theirs.

The Centropyge Bicolor fish, also known as two-tone fishing fish or Kato Angel, is a tropical reef fish belonging to the Pomacanthidae family. It is characterized by its small size, generally less than 10 cm, and by its distinctive coloring, which consists of a mixture of bright and contrasting colors. The body of the fish is mainly navy blue, with orange stripes that start from the head and run along its back, and a yellow strip that surrounds its tail. Its fins are also orange, with a yellow border.

The Centropyge Bicolor fish lives in the warm and shallow waters of coral reefs of the South Pacific, mainly around the Kato islands and the Ryukyu Islands, in Japan. It feeds mainly on plankton, algae and small crustaceans, which it captures by filtering the water using its radiated fins.

The two-tone fishing fish is a lonely animal that lives as a couple or in a small group, generally composed of several males and a single female. It is very territorial and protects its vital space against other fish and crustaceans. The male is generally larger and more colorful than the female, and it takes care of the defense of the territory using its fins to show its colors and intimidate the intruders.

The two-color fishing fish is very popular with aquarophilia enthusiasts, due to its distinct beauty and personality. It is generally easy to maintain in captivity, but it needs a large aquarium to swim and hide, as well as a varied diet to maintain your health. Two-color fishing fish is also considered a symbol of luck and happiness in Japanese culture, and it is often used in arts, literature and music.
