Hemigrammopetersius intermedius (Thad tetra)
Description
The Hemigrammopetersius intermedius fish is a freshwater fish from West Africa. It is mainly known for its unique color and unusual shape. Its head is flat and wide, with globular eyes which give it an almost human appearance. His mouth is small and bordered by sharp teeth, which allows him to feed on small insects and other prey. Its skin is covered with colored scales which range from dark green to bright blue, with orange and yellow spots which contrast strongly with its main color. Its tail is long and tapered, with vertical stripes which allow it to move quickly in the water. In general, the Hemigrammopetersius intermedius fish measures between 10 and 12 centimeters in length, although it can reach up to 15 centimeters under certain conditions.
This fish is very adaptable and can live in a variety of aquatic environments, rivers with lakes and marshes. It needs fresh and oxygenated water to survive, and it is generally more active in times of freshness. The Hemigrammopetersius intermedius fish is a lonely animal, although it can regroup with others from its species to feed or reproduce. The breeding period generally takes place during rainy times, when the water is warmer and richer in food.
