Description
Melanochromis Autus is a freshwater fish from Malawi Lake in Africa. It is a cichlid fish, which means that it belongs to the family of Cichlidae, a very diverse family of fish which includes more than 2000 different species. Melanochromis Autus is a medium -sized fish, generally measuring between 6 and 8 centimeters long. Its color varies depending on your gender and age. Young males have a metallic blue-green color with black transverse strips on the body, while adult females and males are bright red. Melanochromis Autus is a territorial and aggressive fish, and adult males can fight with each other to defend their territory. They are also known to be aggressive predators, hunting small fish and tiny shrimps in their natural habitat. In captivity, they can be nourished with a variety of commercial food for fish, such as pellets and flakes. Melanochromis Autus is a popular fish in the aquarophilia, due to its bright color and its strong personality.
