Description
Great, peaceful and perennial fish. Suitable for the community aquarium.
You need a long tank, well planted with a lot of free spaces to facilitate swimming. Good ventilation is essential.
The Acutidens Micrals is a freshwater fish from the Cichlidae family. It measures about 5 centimeters in length and has a dark brown color on the back, which clears up to the belly. Its pectoral and caudal fins are transparent and its eyes are red. The Acutidens micraleste is from the rivers and the lakes of East Africa, especially in Kenya and Tanzania.
This fish has an elongated and side -compressed body, with a wide head and a protractile mouth. Males have longer and more sophisticated anal fins than those of females. Acutidans micrals is a gregarious and peaceful fish, which lives in groups in the shallow waters of rivers and lakes.
Acutidan micraletes feeds mainly on small crustaceans, insects and plankton. It can also eat algae and small fish. The Acutidens micral is an oviparous fish, that is to say that it lays eggs. The female builds a gravel nest to place her eggs there, which the male fertilizes. The male then supports the incubation and the protection of eggs and fry until they are large enough to fend for themselves.
The Acutidens micraletes is an unusual fish in aquarium, but it is appreciated for its color and its gregarious behavior. However, it needs a large enough space and a well -appointed habitat to feel comfortable and flourish. It is important to provide it with food adapted to its needs and maintain water from the aquarium clean and well oxygenated.
