Description

TRIDACNA CROCEA is a kind of bivalve mollusc belonging to the tridacnidae family. This invertebrate is commonly called "clam gigant" because of its impressive size, which can reach more than 1 meter in length and weigh up to 200 kg. It is characterized by a diamond -shaped shell, made up of two valves joined by muscles and ligaments. The surface of the shell is often covered with algae, corals or other marine organisms.
