Description
This attractive plant with paper pace makes an ideal specimen for the middle of an aquarium. In a largely planted aquarium, where there is a competition for light and nutrients, A. Boivinianus can produce little leaves or small leaves. The leaves are shiny green and sometimes slightly transparent in places.
The Aponogeton Boivinianus is an aquarium plant from the Aponogetaceae family. It is from tropical Africa and measures on average 30 to 50 cm high. Its leaves are long, narrow and dark green with wavy edges. They grow in rosette from an underground rhizome.
The flowering of the Boivinianus aponogeton occurs in winter and it produces white trumpet -shaped flowers, which can measure up to 10 cm long. The plant is easy to grow in aquarium, but it needs sufficient lighting and regular fertilization to prosper.
