Description
The aponogeton Madagascariensis aquarium plant is an aquatic plant with heart -shaped leaves. It has shiny and thick green leaves that grow in rosette from the base of the plant. The plant generally reaches a height of 15-25 cm and has white or pink flowers that emerge from the base of the plant in summer. It is from Madagascar and prefers moderate to intense lighting in a lukewarm water aquarium. It can be cultivated in nutritive soil or attached to a support to keep it in place. The plant can be propagated by division of the rosette of leaves or by sowing its seeds. It can be used as a shadow plant in a community aquarium or as a plant of visual interest in a biotope aquarium.
