Description

B. Japanica is similar to b. Echinosperma but it is smaller and more difficult to maintain. In nature, the leaves will grow longer, but in an aquarium they rarely reach 2-3.2 inch (5-8 cm). Even in the best conditions, this plant can have a limited life in the aquarium. For ideal conditions, you must give bright light and fresh water.

Blyxa Japanica is a common aquarium plant from East Asia, especially Japan. It is a submerged aquatic plant with persistent leaves which can reach approximately 15 centimeters in height. Its leaves are dark green and have a diamond -shaped shape. The plant also produces small white or yellow flowers.
