Cardamine lyrata

Cardamine lyrata

Description

This unusual plant can be placed in the foreground of the aquarium even if it reaches up to 14 inches (35 cm) in height. It has an intertwined appearance and unusual shape leaves. It gives a better look when it is placed in small groups of three to four stems, between slow species before plan. At high temperature and without adequate lighting, the growth of the leaves may be stunned and the stem become weak. Ideal conditions include a low temperature, a strong lighting and a pH of 7-7.5. The plant is sensitive to chemicals and does not grow well in very soft water.
