Description

Hygrophila deformis is an aquatic plant that belongs to the Acanthaceae family. It is from India and Southeast Asia, and is often used as an ornamental plant in freshwater aquariums.

This plant has straight and thick stems, with dark green -shaped leaves. The leaves are arranged opposite along the stems, and can measure up to 10 cm long.

The deformized hygrophila also produces white or pink flowers in summer, which are generally at the base of the stems.
