Description

Hygrophila polysperma is an aquarium plant commonly known as fresh water or freshwater plant. She is from South Asia and belongs to the Acanthaceae family. It is a fast growing plant that can reach up to 30 cm high. Its leaves are dark green, long and narrow, and grow in compact tufts. Hygrophila Polysperma likes shallow aquatic environments and nutrient -rich waters. It needs a bright light to develop properly and can be planted in the substrate or fixed to a support. The plant produces white or pale pink flowers in summer.
