Description

The body and the two large legs are surrounded by bright red strips on a white background. Long white antennas, and thorns that bristle the body and legs. It is a fish cleaner shrimp. Essentially nocturnal activity. It turns around every three weeks. She appreciates the artemias, the mysis and the pieces of mussels.

The Stenopus Hispidus is a crustacean of the Stenopodidae family, commonly known as pink leg lobster or lobster-perroquet. It is often used in aquarophilia for its bright colors and its ease of causing captivity. It is a territorial and lonely animal that lives in the warm and shallow waters of the Indian and peaceful oceans. Its main characteristic is the presence of pink legs and clips of unequal sizes, the largest being intended for the defense and the capture of prey. Its size can reach about 20 centimeters in length and it feeds mainly on molluscs and crustaceans.

Reproduction

Long and complex nuptial parade. The female can store part of the sperm for another laying. She maintains the blue-green eggs with her abdominal appendages for about 20 days and then releases zoeplantonic larvae. Their breeding requires being able to have a marine plankton to feed them.
