Description
Dascyllus melanurus fish is a reef fish belonging to the Pomaccentridae family. It is commonly called clownfish of black reefs or skullfish fish due to its color and stain configuration on the head, which looks like a human skull. The body of D. Melanurus is mainly white with black spots on the head and along the spine, as well as black vertical strips along the sides. The lower part of the body is generally clearer than the rest of the body.

Fish has transparent pectoral fins and yellow pelvic fins. He also has bright red gills, which is a distinctive character of the Pomacentridae family.
The D. Melanurus lives in the warm and shallow waters of coral reefs in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Melanurus feeds mainly on plankton and algae, but it can also eat molluscs and crustaceans.
The D. Melanurus is a very popular fish in the aquariophilia because of its beautiful color and its peaceful personality.
