Description

Very territorial fish, even at the juvenile stage, which implies very bad intraspecific relations but much more tolerant towards other species. He prefers to stand near his cottage to only make brief appearances in full water.

The semicirculatus pomacanthus fish, also known as the Emperor Angel, is a marine fish from the Pomacanthidae family. It is characterized by its large size, reaching an average of 40 to 50 cm in length, and its slim and elongated body covered with shiny scales. Its color generally varies between dark blue and yellow, with striped patterns on the back and belly.

The Emperor Angel Fish has a wide and flattened head, with two large dorsal fins and a Caudal Bifide fin. His mouth is located in the lower position, which allows him to search the seabed in search of food. Emperor fishing is mainly nourished by molluscs, crustaceans and smaller fish.

Emperor fishing fish is mainly a lonely fish, but it can also be found in small groups in coral reefs. It tends to stay close to the seabed and can be found at depths of up to 30 meters. Emperor fishing fish is also known to be a territorial fish, with males who fight to defend their territory against other intruding males.

Due to its large size and beauty, the Emperor Angel is a popular fish in the aquarophilia. However, it can be difficult to keep in captivity because of its specific food needs and its territorial behavior. Emperor fishing fish is also subject to intensive commercial exploitation, which has led to a decrease in its population in certain places.

In summary, the Emperor Angel Fish is a fascinating and unique sea fish, recognizable by its large size, its shiny color and its striped patterns. Although threatened by commercial exploitation, it remains a popular fish in the aquarophilia because of its beauty and its interesting behavior.
