Description

This nudibranche has many shades, red, orange -yellow, pink or speckled. It looks like a slug and has 6 external gills on the back of the back. The oral tentacles resemble one hand and are made up of a pair of digital lobes. With a foot like snail, it is however capable of swimming in full water with undulations due to the contraction of the dorso-ventral muscles, along the whole body of this superb nudibranche.

Hexabranchus Sanguineus is a marine invertebrate belonging to the order of nudibranchs. This invertebrate is also known as the scarlet nudibranche or Doris Rouge. It is characterized by its relatively large size (up to 20 centimeters long) and by its bright red color. The scarlet nudibranche is mainly known for its habit of feeding on sponges.
