Anubias heterophylla

Anubias heterophylla

Description

This rhizome plant is provided with tough leaves like all anubies which allows them to associate them with cichlids. She looks like Barteri Glabra who has less wide leaves.

The Anubias Heterophylla aquarium plant is a freshwater aquarium plant commonly used in aquarophilia. It is a bare root plant, which means that it does not have a substrate where it can take root. It must be fixed to a stone, a piece of wood or another surface to be able to develop.

The Anubias Heterophylla is a wide and smooth, dark green -color plant. Its leaves can reach up to 15 cm in length and are arranged opposite the stem. The plant also produces white or cream flowers, generally in small clusters, which may appear throughout the year.

Anubias Heterophylla is from West Africa, where it grows in stagnant waters and slow rivers. In aquarium, this plant needs moderate lighting and regular fertilization to develop properly.
